CODI's Organizational Overview


Public Organization

As a Public Organization, CODI is an autonomous government agency governed by the executive branch. Reporting directly to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security and managing its own capital fund, CODI has the flexibility and independence to efficiently implement projects.

Board

As the chief decision making body, CODI’s board is comprised of four representatives from government organizations, three representatives from community organizations and three professionals. Additionally, sub-committees and regional boards help oversee and administer CODI’s programs.

Staff and Offices

Approximately 300 staff members work in 5 regional offices.

Budget

Upon its inception, CODI was granted a capital fund of $85 million (USD). Administrative expenses are covered by interest earned from the fund, while the project budget is granted by the cabinet on an annual basis.
